Each college and department has specific needs and requirements, and the university is continuously looking for diverse suppliers — from marketing agencies and general contractors to professionals providing technology support — who can provide innovative, competitively priced goods and services, foster community and economic development and enhance the ability to deliver value to the university.

Purdue works daily to build a roster of suppliers who can actively support business requirements, while also sharing the university’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Through this effort, Purdue empowers and creates an equal playing field for all suppliers.

Focused on continuous improvement, Purdue has implemented an online supplier registration portal, which quickly identifies potential suppliers for specific procurement opportunities.

Suppliers should be thorough with their profile as an incomplete profile may hinder capability searches. Suppliers will receive an automated email upon successful completion of the registration process. The Office of Supplier Diversity recommends accessing the portal on a regular basis to update a profile. Note that a supplier will be contacted only if its capability profile matches a current procurement need.

Registering as a supplier does not automatically place a company or business on a bidder's list, constitute approval of a company or business as a Purdue supplier, or obligate Purdue to solicit a request for information or quotation. It does, however, allow our office to better understand a supplier's capabilities and experience.

When providing diverse supplier certification to support a supplier’s information, please note that it is not automatically renewed in the repository. Please track certification dates, recertify and provide updated certification. It is the responsibility of all suppliers to ensure that their information in the profile record is current and up to date.
